Miva Open University Examination Council Postpones Its End of Semester Examination.

The Miva Open University Examination Council has officially announced the postponement of its first semester examination, which was originally scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 13th of December, 2025. The examination will now hold on a later date as a result of unavoidable circumstances.
According to the Council, the primary reason for the postponement was the clash between the university’s examination timetable and the ongoing General Certificate Examination exercise, which would have created difficulties for many students.

In addition to this, the students in the WhatsApp and Telegram groups had raised concerns about the pace of the academic session. They complained that the semester felt rushed, poorly coordinated, and stressful for students. These concerns were presented during the university’s monthly welfare meeting with the Board of Management. After reviewing the complaints and considering the scheduling conflict, the course representatives of each department announced the postponement on behalf of the management.

Interestingly, while members of the Miva Examination Team expressed disappointment over the disruption of the initial schedule, many students reacted positively. Several students interviewed on campus described the development as a welcome relief and even referred to it as a “blessing from God,” saying the extra time would help them prepare better.

Furthermore, the Examination Council confirmed that the first semester examination will now commence on the 9th of December, 2025. All examinations originally slated for the 10th of December will be shifted to the 17th of December, 2025.
The Council encouraged all students to make meaningful use of the extended preparation period provided by this adjustment.
