On February 24, 2026, the International Master of Public Health (IMPH) Conference commenced with a powerful opening that brought together scholars, policymakers, health professionals, and students committed to advancing global health outcomes. The conference, held in collaboration with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the HebrewU-Hadassah IMPH Alumni network, created a dynamic platform for rigorous dialogue and cross-border collaboration.
The first day focused on urgent public health priorities, ranging from health systems strengthening to community-based interventions and sustainable policy innovation. Conversations were grounded in evidence yet forward-thinking, emphasizing practical solutions capable of improving health equity and resilience across diverse populations. Participants engaged deeply, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature that defines the IMPH programme.
Distinguished contributors added intellectual depth and international perspective to the event. His Excellency Michael Freeman, Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, joined respected experts including Olumide Ogundahunsi and Reginald Chima, each offering insights that bridged policy, research, ethics, and practice. Their contributions reinforced the importance of global partnerships and academic leadership in addressing contemporary health challenges.
Equally significant was the active participation of Public Health students and faculty, whose thoughtful engagement enriched every session. Their contributions demonstrated not only academic preparedness but also a strong commitment to translating knowledge into real-world impact.
With a strong foundation laid on its opening day, the IMPH Conference moves into Day Two with heightened anticipation, poised to deepen discussions and strengthen collaborations that will shape healthier communities locally and globally.
