Today, Miva students sat for their first semester examinations, stepping into exam halls with a mix of anticipation, nerves, and determination. From the outset, it was clear that the day would test not only knowledge but resilience, as technical glitches and the pressure of time loomed over some students.

Arriving at the venue as early as 8 a.m., many students were already gathered, buzzing with excitement and readiness for the day. According to Sheriff, a 100-level Economics student, nearly 50 students had arrived before him. \u201cThe anticipation was energetic. Everyone was excited,\u201d he explained. However, tension rose slightly when students were instructed to drop their phones and personal belongings with designated officials. \u201cSome became furious at first, but it was part of keeping the hall in order,\u201d he added.

Despite the initial agitation, the process remained structured. Internet issues surfaced occasionally, but invigilators managed the flow efficiently. Sheriff also observed that some students wondered why the exams weren\u2019t conducted online inside the CBT system instead of switching formats. For him, the most stressful moment came later in the day. After completing his first paper, he was not allowed to immediately proceed to the second. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to go through the queue again, but I had to step out for others to take theirs. I eventually returned at 1 p.m. to write my next exam,\u201d he said.He also said that students later had to use their personal mobile devices to hotspot their examination systems.

Timi, a 100-level Software Engineering student, faced his own challenges with system glitches and password errors. Despite the hiccups, he completed his papers but admitted that GST 111 posed a bit of confusion. \u201cThe exam wasn\u2019t too difficult, but I struggled a little with the GST 111 questions,\u201d he shared, highlighting the balance between preparation and unexpected interruptions.

For Esther, also a 100-level Software Engineering student, the experience was smoother. She worked through her papers easily and only made one request: \u201cThe exam was easy, but I wish Miva would update their systems to make the experience smoother for everyone.\u201d Her comment reflected the shared desire for improved technical stability moving forward.

Meanwhile, a 100-level Public Health student described her exam as \u201cquite easy,\u201d completing her papers well ahead of time and leaving the hall with a sense of satisfaction. For her, the day felt more like a confirmation of her hard work than a test of endurance.
